It started a bit "meh", quite a bit "meh" even, but then it started to become a bit better, but it felt, like it did for no actual reason. Character transition is too abrupt, does not make much sense psychologically and logically even. I mean, to make these weapons in such a situation, he should be pretty smart, but at start he did not look like it at all. I am giving the anime a benefit of a doubt so far the pieces do not seem to fit.
Episode 2:
Guy becomes super confident and next to OP after starting to eat monsters. The concept is ok, but there is no bridge between 2 sides of the character and 2nd episode makes the gap even bigger, it's like these are 2 different characters altogether. And why did this Kaori or whatever sleep for 5 days after she got bumped in the head (if it was even her head)? Does not make sense. Not inspired.
