Hailng from a distant land to the west, Meck Dragonsbane has come to Eorzea seeking the black dragon that razed his childhood village to the ground. Arriving in Limsa Lominsa, he made his way to Gridania to take up the lance. Once there he had planned on going straight to Coerthas to appeal to the Holy See. He had hoped the noble houses of Coerthas would welcome him, but the assault from the dragons to the north withheld any true welcome for a fellow dragonslayer.

While his true battle skills have yet to manifest, Meck enjoys using the martial arts he has learned from the various guilds here in Eorzea. He has been using a lance or spear since a small child, yet the way of the dragoon is still new to him. He has come to enjoy the wrath of the warrior, but struggles to learn how to use a shield as a paladin. Both archery and fisticuffs are new to him and he is learning steadily. Alas, Meck has never have much affinity for the arcane arts nor conjuration. However he hopes with enough patience even he can become a master black mage.

Growing up out in the wilds Meck has a talent for gathering all things; but this gift holds him back when it comes to being a merchant of any class...

Meck worries about his dragonslaying brethren in the north, and hopes the unnamed foe that is stirring the dragons is not the sameself one that invaded his homeland only to flee back across the ocean.
