Crafoutis Lesalia was born among the Veena Viera of the Skatay Range, where male Viera traditionally live reclusive lives as Wood-warders. Unlike his kin, he was bubbly, trusting, and possessed an insatiable curiosity about the world beyond the forest. An encounter with lost travelers who shared tales of distant lands ignited his desire to explore.

Defying tradition, Crafoutis left his homeland and journeyed through Ivalice, eventually reaching Gridania. The city's harmony with nature resonated with him. Despite initial skepticism due to the rarity of male Viera, his respectful demeanor and affinity with the forest earned him acceptance. He joined the Lancers' Guild, honing his combat skills and quickly earning the respect of his peers.

He participated in the Battle of Carteneau during the Seventh Umbral Calamity and, like many adventurers, was transported five years into the future. Upon his return, he sought to expand his martial prowess and traveled to Limsa Lominsa to train as a Marauder. Embracing the path of the Warrior, he learned to channel his ferocity to protect others.

Crafoutis eventually moved to Ul'dah, drawn by its vibrant markets and opportunities for artisans. Purchasing a home in The Goblet, he set up a workshop and integrated into Ul'dahn society. His trusting and friendly nature sometimes left him vulnerable to the city's schemers, but his genuine kindness won him many friends. He joined the Immortal Flames and rose to the rank of Storm Captain through dedication and skill.

During his adventures, Crafoutis met Rauta Ketju, a female Hrothgar known for her strength and independence. Their shared experiences as outsiders and their mutual dedication to helping others drew them together, leading to their marriage.

In Ul'dah's complex society, Crafoutis serves as a bridge between disparate groups. He advocates for fairness and justice, supports the local economy through his crafting, and aids both adventurers and citizens alike. His naivety occasionally poses challenges in navigating political intrigues, but his integrity and earnestness often win over those he encounters.
