Maybe I am not the target audience? I hear children allegedly liked this show, but... This is not Spider-Man, that fans would want (and looks like it was bashed by them). I mean, I liked 1990s show more than X-Men specifically because it was focused on 1 character, which gave them enough time to develop that character and let us grow attached to him.
Here we have multiple characters thrown at us pretty early in the show (not as early as old Iron-Man, though) and they are all... Practically identical? And too gen-z? Or maybe not gen-z (no offense to actual gen-z), but they all felt like total brats. At least Peter was never a brat. His origin story made him humble by default. He as talkative under stress, yes, that's what added to the character, but he was mostly humble.
In this show... I wanted to strangle him quite soon. He was trying too hard to be funny, and the humor was not that good. He is also given support from "the world" right away, which does not make sense, since Peter was always an underdog, and that was the point. What I saw was just... As bad as the music, which was trying to be edgy, rocky, but was completely out of tune for the visuals.
Too bad, because from what I understand it was meant to adapt some of the good symbiote stories. And it does look good. Not as unique as Spectacular, but still good. But not good enough to make me force myself.
