Valve, this is some next level BS. In no way have you "exposed to me" that the issue is intended behavior (really, interrupting gameplay is intended?), but you kept not answering my questions, and even put debug logs in quotes, as if it's something alien to you.

Valve, first step to improve your #badtechsupport would be to have 1 person dealing with a ticket, instead of assigning whomever is free for every reply. Second step, would to encourage your supporters to use logic, because none of the 3 (!) tickets I have for this now (soon to be 4) even had any discussions about antivirus. There is no evidence whatsoever indicating that this is caused by some other software. Even if it is, it is actually your job to determine what is causing this, to, at least, add it to list of known issues.

Start doing your frigging job!

Same as with Microsoft, I thought I had more posted on LinkedIn, but either I had not or LinkedIn is somehow hiding the posts. Anyway, after 2 (!) monthly (!!) bans (!!!) for raising tickets for the same unresolved issue (sadly, can't post screenshots of the tickets to confirm that, since they are too old, and of course we are not allowed to see all of them) I was finally able to get acknowledgement of the issue from Steam. Or kind of. They suggested to use beta-version, since it had some changes, and that they plan some more changes. It did improve things, for sure: while focus stealing (multiple times) is still a thing when the the app is started, it does not seem to do that mid-game. Why it required so much pain to get even to this point? No idea.
